Salvatore Vitabile received his degree in electronic engineering and his Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Palermo in 1994 and 1999, respectively. He is currently full professor in the Department of Biomedicine, Neuroscience and Advanced Diagnostics at the University of Palermo, Italy. His research interests include specialized architecture design and prototyping, biometric authentication systems, and medical data processing and analysis.
